The picturesque village of Koshov is situated between the town of Ivanovo and the historical village of Cherven, on the left bank of the ”Cherni Lom” river, approximately 30 km from Ruse and less than 100 km from the Bucharest airport.
The place has originated as an ancient settlement with evidence of Thracian and Roman presence. The village is nestled in a beautiful valley, formed by an ancient river, millions of years ago. Surrounded entirely by natural environment the area is home to a variety of endangered bird species as well as other animals, traditional for the area. The gorge is picturesque and interesting with its odd formations of the particular weathering of rocks with numerous cave openings and niches.
Although it is almost “hidden” by the natural surroundings the village has easy access to the neighbor villages of Cherven and the town of Ivanovo. Apart from the local scenery, there are the sightseeings of the Cherven Medieval Castle along with the Cave Monastery of Ivanovo, carved by the ancient river, straight into the rocks, all included in the UNESCO heritage program.
The property is located in the high part of the village, on a street with convenient access. The house is two-storey, and on the first floor we have a large entrance hall, which is used as a living room; kitchen; bedroom and bathroom with toilet. The second floor is reached by an external staircase, which leads to a large terrace with a beautiful view of the rocks and hills around the river Rusenski Lom. The stage is attic and consists of a bedroom and a large closet. The property has been abandoned for many years. The house is in a damaged condition. The yard needs clearing.
